Mold Risk Check

Explore local humidity, rainfall, and housing-age data, then use it to plan what to inspect at home. Your ZIP selects a city record or an average of the cities covered in your state.

Turn the local context into a home inspection

This report describes an area, not the condition of an individual property. Outdoor humidity does not measure humidity inside your rooms, and an older home is not proof of mold. Check the source period and geographic coverage shown with your result.

  • After rain: look from a safe location for new staining, window leaks, blocked drainage, and water entering lower levels.
  • During humid weather: measure indoor humidity and check whether bathrooms, clothes dryers, and kitchens exhaust moisture outdoors.
  • Before buying or renting: ask for the leak and repair history, inspect accessible materials, and record areas that could not be checked.

Use the room-by-room inspection checklist to document findings. If you have visible growth or an active leak, follow the leak response guide regardless of the area’s score.
