SMS Messaging Terms and Opt-In Policy
How Mold Compass uses text messaging, how you opt in and out, and what to expect when you receive messages from us.

Mold Compass, a product of Arcvane LLC ("Mold Compass," "we," "us," or "our"), operates SMS (text message) programs to support users of moldcompass.com. This page describes the programs we offer, how you opt in, how you opt out, and the standard terms that apply to every message we send.
1. Programs We Operate
We use SMS only for the following purposes:
- Account security and verification. One-time passcodes (OTP) and login codes when you create an account or sign in.
- Transactional notifications. Order confirmations and receipts, digital product delivery links, refund updates, and replies from our support team.
- Pro lead delivery. Inspection and remediation professionals enrolled in our directory receive new lead notifications and quote requests.
- Optional updates and alerts (marketing). If you separately opt in, we may send tips, new guide announcements, mold risk alerts for your region, and occasional offers on featured gear.
2. How You Opt In
You opt in to messaging from Mold Compass through one of the methods below. Each opt-in covers only the program you signed up for. Opting in to one program does not subscribe you to another.
2.1 Web opt-in
On enrollment forms across moldcompass.com (account signup, professional signup, and quote requests), you may enter your mobile number and check a box to confirm consent.
The consent checkbox is never pre-selected. It must be actively checked by you. The standard consent text reads:
2.2 Text-keyword opt-in
You may also opt in to optional updates and alerts by texting the keyword MOLD to our messaging number. After your first message we send a confirmation with the program name, frequency, and the standard HELP and STOP instructions.
2.3 Transactional and security messages
Account verification codes and order confirmations are sent only after you take an action that requests them (creating an account, signing in, or completing a purchase). You may decline these messages by choosing an alternative verification method (email) at signup.
3. Message Frequency
- Verification and security: only when you request a code.
- Transactional: tied to your activity (typically 0–3 messages per purchase or support thread).
- Pro lead delivery: varies by lead volume in your service area, typically 0–10 messages per week.
- Optional updates and alerts: up to 4 messages per month.

5. HELP and STOP Instructions
- HELP: Reply HELP to any message from Mold Compass for assistance. You can also email [email protected].
- STOP: Reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to any message to opt out at any time. We will send a single final confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and you will not receive additional messages from that program. Standard message and data rates apply to the STOP reply.
Opting out of optional updates does not opt you out of transactional or security messages tied to an active account or purchase. To close your account entirely, contact [email protected].
6. Carrier and Cost Disclaimers
- Message and data rates may apply. Check your wireless plan for details.
- Message frequency varies by program (see Section 3).
- Carriers (including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Mold Compass SMS programs are available only to US mobile numbers.
7. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and the account holder or authorized user of the mobile phone number you enroll. By opting in, you confirm both.
8. Privacy
We do not sell or share your mobile number or message content with third parties for their marketing purposes. Our messaging provider (Twilio) processes message delivery on our behalf as a service provider. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle personal information.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes that affect the messages you receive will be communicated in advance via SMS or email. Continued participation after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
