How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Last updated: July 12, 2026

Mold Compass, a product of Arcvane LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you visit our website, use the Mold Compass mobile application, or purchase our products. Arcvane LLC is the data controller for information collected through these services.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers: Payment processors, email services, hosting providers, and artificial intelligence processing providers
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights
  • Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies to make our website function properly. We may also use analytics tools to understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Mobile-app analytics is off by default and can be enabled or disabled from the Account tab. When enabled, the app sends only allowlisted feature-event names, app surfaces, categorical outcomes, app version, and a server timestamp. These events do not include messages, photos, notes, URLs, account identifiers, conversation identifiers, installation identifiers, or stored IP addresses. Mobile analytics events are retained for up to 30 days and are not used for advertising or tracking.

Data Retention

We retain your information as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Email subscribers can unsubscribe at any time, and we remove emails from marketing lists within 30 days.

Guest conversation and photo-check history saved by the mobile app remains on the device for up to 90 days, subject to on-device history limits, unless you delete it or remove the app sooner. Photo Check removes image metadata and sends normalized image copies for processing. Mold Compass does not store submitted Photo Check images on its servers in the current workflow. Processing providers may temporarily retain submitted content for security and abuse monitoring under their policies. Anonymous Ask Scout server history is retained for up to 90 days to provide conversation context, safety controls, and service continuity. Account-associated records may be retained while the account is active or as otherwise needed to provide the service. Deleting a native Scout conversation removes it locally at once and requests deletion of its anonymous server history; if the device is offline, the app retries that request when connectivity returns.
